JOHN COLOMBO, M.D., B.S.c., L.M.C.C., P.C.
Having known since early on in life that he wanted to become a physician, Dr. Colombo began his study of Latin and Physics in order to prepare himself for the rigors of a Medical education. He completed his High School studies with the highest grade point average in the City of Detroit and went on to University for further preparations for Medical School.
Medical School was difficult and demanding. Long hours were spent in the classroom and, later, in the medical clinics and laboratories in preparation for the anticipated entrance into the practice of Medicine. During those years, he developed a fascination and deep interest in the complexities and wonders of the human eye especially in those diseases that caused the loss of vision for so many unfortunate people. Because of his intense studies in the field of Ophthalmology during those years in Medical School, he was awarded the highest prize in the Field of Ophthalmology at graduation.
He continued his pursuit of excellence in the field of Ophthalmology with admittance to the world renowned Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit as well as the Grace-Harper-Receiving Ophthalmology Residency program and four years later, he was ready to begin his beloved ministry of quality eye care in private practice.
Doctor Colombo is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as a Member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He enjoys membership in numerous Medical Societies such as the Michigan State Medical Society, the Detroit Surgical Society, Michigan Association of Eye Physicians and the Macomb County Medical Society.
In the ensuing 42 years of private practice and further study into the diseases of the eye, he became extremely interested in the study of Age-Related Macular Degeneration since it was the leading cause of blindness in the adult population of the United States. It was a devastating disease Besides his private practice, he opened the first free Clinic offering comprehensive eye care to underprivileged patients in Detroit Michigan.
Early on in his practice of Ophthalmology, he began to explore and understand the very close association between poor nutritional health and the development of eye diseases especially early Macular Degeneration. Over the course of many years, he investigated and studied the nature of many different vitamins and supplements and their role in maintaining good eye health and the prevention of eye disease. He soon recognized that there really were no proper products available to the public that would give them these essential vitamins and nutrients in a form that would allow adequate and substantial absorption into the body.
Thus, after many years of research and study, he developed the only product which, from his experience, offered the complete balance of essential vitamins and supplements and nutrients necessary to support not only good eye health but also total body health available in a form that is completely absorbed into the body.
Doctor Colombo continues to devote the majority of his practice time to the prevention and treatment of early Macular Degeneration. He lends and shares his extensive knowledge of vitamins and minerals and supplements with his patients and promotes the use of these supplements in a form that is readily absorbed into the body. He has made his formulation available to the public and has received a tremendous response to the effects of his personally developed preparation.
Doctor Colombo continues to lecture on the subject of Age-Related Macular Degeneration and the role of essential vitamins and minerals and supplements in the prevention and treatment of this devastating eye disease afflicting so many.
